MY PEOPLE

 

I like to think that people are like boxes,

Full of surprises,

Colors,

And loveliness.

 

My people are those who fight not for their future,

But for everyone’s.

 

My people are those who smile at me,

Saying nothing,

Saying it all.

 

Through my people’s eyes,

You can see a universe,

A virgin beach,

A lost island,

Passion for today and for tomorrow.

 

My people are those who

Give me a reason to wake up every day,

To fight my fears,

And to reach my goals.

My people are those

Who are different from the rest,

Those who are who they are,

And are not scared to be.
