The Award Winning Piedmont Council of the Arts (PCA) has announced its 2014 Rising Star Awards, and we are proud to announce Tupelo Press Teen Writing Center nominee Heather Walton, among this year’s award winners.
Heather has been a member of the Teen Writing Center from the beginning, helping chart our course with her participation, offering leadership and enthusiasm in her high school creative writing program, supporting their first Poetry Out Loud event this spring and submitting work to our first annual teen anthology! Heather is a committed young writer, working on 
her Senior Writing Portfolio for the Scholastic National Writing Awards!
